Nasser J. Kazeminy
Nasser Kazeminy was born in Iran, educated in England, and began working for Honeywell Systems in 1964. He was recruited by Control Data Corporation in 1969, immigrated to the U.S. with his wife and two small children, and has been a proud citizen of the United States since 1978.
Mr. Kazeminy has either held a controlling majority interest in or maintained oversight for many organizations, among them XP Systems Corporation (now part of Fiserv, Inc.), Digital Insight Corporation (acquired by Intuit Inc. and now part of NCR), Laureate Education (acquired by KKR and Citi Group), and Quorum Group, Inc. (acquired by Marsh McLennan).
Nasser Kazeminy’s current focus is on the cyber security, information services, technology industries, and entertainment, including JungoTV.
In addition to his successful business pursuits, Mr. Kazeminy is an active philanthropist. Of specific interest are foundations that benefit children with medical needs, and those which support legal immigration, including the Ellis Island Honors Society, of which he is the current Chairman of the Board. Nasser Kazeminy is also a member of the distinguished Board of the Order of St. John of Jerusalem, Knights Hospitaller, the Knights of Malta, as well as a number of nonprofit, educational, and technology focused Boards, including the Advisory Board of the Max Planck Florida Institute for Neuroscience, and the Board of Commissioners for the Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology.
In 1980, Nasser Kazeminy founded NJK Holding Corporation as a platform for investing in new technologies. He has employed over 20,000 personnel and created over 200,000 jobs across a wide array of business sectors, including Testing and Credentialing, Banking, Healthcare, Legal, Publishing, Data Mining & Management, Mobile Processors, Security, Video Technologies, Digital Marketing, and e-Commerce.
In 1989, Nasser Kazeminy acquired the industrial technology and services division of PLATO, which served as the first computer assisted instruction system. He then founded Drake Prometric, a certification pioneer for industry leading clients such as Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, Intel, and Novel. Prometric Testing continues to be successful today, with testing centers in 160 countries and more than 7 million test takers annually. Mr. Kazeminy also founded Certiport, the exclusive Microsoft certification testing partner.
